Jacob Southgate

Legal Counsel

Jacob is Legal Counsel at volofin and advises on the structuring, negotiation and execution of our loan transactions.

Before joining volofin, Jacob was a Senior Associate in the Asset Finance team at A&O Shearman, where he advised on a broad range of asset finance transactions across the aviation sector. He acted for a diverse client base, including lenders, lessors, airlines and export credit agencies, and gained experience across a wide variety of cross-border aircraft financing transactions.

During his time at A&O Shearman, Jacob completed a secondment with AviLease, providing in-house legal support on aircraft leasing and sale and purchase matters.

Jacob trained at Watson Farley & Williams, where he developed his expertise in aviation and asset finance.
